Since being admitted to the Faculty of Advocates Andrew Mason has principally been instructed in criminal matters, with a particular emphasis on appellate work. He has been involved in a number of significant decisions involving criminal matters in recent years, including a recent challenge to the Convention compliance of section 23D of the 1995 Act (bail). |

Edward Flaherty (2008) Murder/culpable homicide, killing of wife, accused with advanced dementia. Junior counsel for the defence. Kerry Anne Howes v. Lord Advocate (2009, unreported) Extradition of mother of five children to the United States of America on alleged drugs charges, section 91 of the Extradition Act 2003. MM v.
