Laura Reilly was a solicitor in private practice for sixteen years appearing in both criminal and civil courts. She was involved in the preparation and presentation of criminal cases at all levels. Since calling at the Bar she has been involved in a wide variety of cases, both as junior counsel and acting on her own, including numerous rape trials (involving complex S.275 applications); drugs cases (2 of which involved the special defence of coercion); attempted murder and firearms cases. |

HMA v Brian McCulloch and others An extremely complex drugs case involving money laundering. This involved a large number of witnesses and extensive surveillance evidence. HMA v James Stevenson(The Iceman) and others A high profile, large scale drugs case including money laudering, involving a large number of witnesses. HMA v Mushtaq and others (Kriss Donald murder) A racially aggravated murder involving complex telephone analysis. |
