Mark Strachan called in 2004 after working for a number of years as a solicitor in private practice. He quickly established himself at the Criminal Bar. He has accepted instruction in the Sheriff Court, High Court and Appeal Court, building on the experience he acquired while in private practice. His analytical mind is of great help in most cases but particularly in Proceeds of Crime matters, an area of special interest to him. |

Selected cases HMA v BURNETT Defence of a historical sexual case where the Moorov doctrine was thoroughly debated in pre-trial challenge to certain allegations in the case. HMA v PEEBLES The defence of a young boy with learning difficulties charged with downloading indecent images. KELLY v HMA A successful appeal of a discretionary life sentence. This was while still working in private practice. |
