Black Chambers welcomes the return of Jock Thomson QC

After a year in Crown Office as a full time Advocate Depute, Black Chambers welcomes Jock Thomson QC's return to defence practice.

 

Following a varied career as a Merchant Seaman, Police Officer and Procurator Fiscal, Jock called to the Bar 27 years ago.  Since then he has become one of the most experienced and highly regarded Senior Counsel at the Criminal Bar, and has been involved in some of the most high profile cases of recent times. 

 

His recent engagement with Crown Office has given him a valuable insight into their current practices and policies.
