Andrew Crosbie

Andrew graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 2010 with First Class Honours in Scots Law, and again in 2011 with the Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice. He thereafter trained as a criminal defence solicitor, qualifying in 2013. He has extensive experience of criminal court advocacy, and enjoys a busy practice representing clients in criminal trials and on appeal, across the spectrum of criminal offences. He tutors postgraduates in Criminal Court Practice at the University of Edinburgh. He is an ad-hoc Advocate Depute, and has prosecuted major crimes in the High Court of Justiciary in that capacity.
In addition to his criminal law practice, Andrew has also represented participants in the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry, defended those accused of professional misconduct in Fitness to Practise proceedings, and represented both pursuers and defenders at proof in personal injury actions. He is Standing Junior Counsel to the Advocate General for Scotland.
