Lisa is an experienced criminal practitioner with over twelve years’ service as an Advocate Depute, culminating in her appointment as Deputy Principal Crown Counsel. In that role she conducted a substantial volume of High Court trials, developing particular expertise in cases involving serious sexual offending and domestic abuse. Her work also included the prosecution of murder and other offences of violence, drugs offences and terrorism, as well as appeal proceedings and fatal accident inquiries. This background gives her a depth of judgment and courtroom assurance that she now brings to defence instructions.
She holds an LLB (Hons) First Class and an MSc with distinction in Global Crime, Justice and Security. Earlier in her career she served as Law Clerk to the Lord Justice Clerk Lord Gill, gaining valuable insight into appellate practice and judicial decision‑making. She also worked on two major public inquiries. Lisa is known for her clear, analytical approach, thorough preparation, and steady courtroom presence, combining experience with strong academic grounding in every case she undertakes.
